Great Tips From a Good Friend - Thanks Faye

When my kids were young and small I kept the plates and glasses in the low cupboards and that way they could set the table without dragging a chair to the cupboard etc.

Also, my younger sister just shared a storage idea that might work for you I use it in my bathroom and she uses it in her bathroom and pantry. Buy a shoe storage that hangs on the back of a door and has about a dozen slots for shoes, it works great for all kinds of stuff. When I remember more of the things that I do or used to do when the kids were younger I'll let you know. Keep up the good work and have a great week.

Great Tip if You Don't Have Enough Storage for Kid's Clothes

I came up with this tip because I happen to have 4 grandchildren and their dad living with me for now.  I just don't  have enough dressers of storage for their clothing.  So, I have had one basket that I have filled with their clean laundry each day after I do the wash.  Then I had a light bulb moment...why not have a basket for each child?  Then each child can be responsible for taking their own basket downstairs and bringing it back up to Grandma who is the laundry person at the moment.  Laundry baskets are fairly inexpensive if you know where to get them.  I know they carry them at the local dollar store. 

Tip of the Day

I just picked up this tip the other day and it really works.  If you happen to misplace or accidently chop up your stainless steel pad (like Brillo but stainless)in the disposal,  just grab a small piece of aluminum foil and wad it up.  It will scrub your pans very well until you are able to go to the store and get another one.

Kashi® GOLEAN Crisp!™ cereal.

I received a sample of Kashi GOLEAN Crisp cereal recently and was pleasantly surprised.  I had always thought "if it is good for you or will help you lose weight it would taste awful."  Well, I am here to tell you I was wrong.  I tasted this cereal and it was so good I had to go to the store to get more since it was just a small sample box.  The kids even liked it.  It really is yummy.  They also have many other varieties of cereal as well and I have tried most of them.  I liked every one I have tasted so far.
