Out of the Mouths of Babes

I just got back from having dinner with friends and family at the Outback Steakhouse.  While there my 6 yr old grandson, Payton calmly asked us why the sign on one of the walls said Crocodiles.  I started to explain that the Outback was in Australia and they have crocodiles there but only got as far as "Outback" and he piped up and said "You mean they have crocodiles out back?  We all got a great laugh out of that one.  His dad and mom finally got the message through that Grandma was trying to convey.  I just had to share that one with everyone.  It was so funny.  :)

Cute Valentine's Day Moment

On Valentine's Day my 7 yr old granddaughter Jori, came running into the house and had this huge smile on her face.  She proceeded to tell me that there was a boy at school who had a crush on her.  They she brings a beautiful yellow rose out from behind her back and says the little boy gave her the rose for Valentine's Day.  She was grinning from ear to ear.  Daddy came into the room when he heard that and gave me a knowing look and said something to the effect that he would have to start watching her.  LOL  It was so cute though.  We put the rose in a vase and she brought it into my computer room and set it on my desk telling me she was going to share it.  At dinner time she brought it out and placed it on the dinner table.  It is still in the middle of our kitchen table and still hasn't faded and looks beautiful.

Comments on Chrome and Other Things.

I have been using Chrome for the few days now.  I am happy with some things but not so on others.  For instance it has an auto fill in feature that I absolutely love BUT it won't fill in my email address only all the other stuff.  So each time I have to manually fill it in at the end of all the other.  Also, when I downloaded it I was asked if I wanted it to move my passwords and I said "yes" thinking that meant all my passwords would automatically be placed when needed like it was on my Mozilla Foxfire.  Can't figure out where they saved them but so far I have had to put each and every one back in.  Oh well.

I am using a bit larger font to see if maybe my blog will be easier to read.  Any comments will be appreciated.  Also, if anyone uses blogspot please comment and let me know how to make my blog go all the way to fill up the sides of the page.  There seems to be such a large margin on the sides.  I went into the adjust part but it doesn't seem to help me.  Thanks ahead of time.

There is a saying here in Idaho about the weather.
Just give it five minutes and it will change.  The past couple of days have been totally like that.  After suffering a huge winter storm it finally got nice and warm and even went up into the high 40's.  I was happy to see the snow melting.  Well, after a couple of great days it is now trying to snow and so-o-o cold I don't want to go outside at all.  The wind goes right through a person.  I was so looking forward to spring and my flowers to see how many may have survived my sweet little grandchildren's dog.  I know it is still February but I was still hoping.

Can't Get my Swagbucks on Chrome :(

I have been using Foxfire for a long time now but it has been giving me some problems with printing my coupons.  I can't seem to print my Smart Source coupons.  I have done everything known to man to make it work but it won't.  I was able to print before a couple of months ago when my computer crashed and I had to reload Windows.  Well, now it won't work.  I finally gave up today and decided I would try something different and use Chrome.  I had it downloaded before the crash but hadn't used it much because it won't recognize my Swagbucks.  So now I have been using Chrome all day long and I am not sure if I like it or not.  It doesn't seem to user friendly.  I have had to try to figure out all my passwords again as they are not automatically filling out the forms like I am used to.  I even told Chrome to save my passwords when I downloaded it.  So much for that idea.  Well, tomorrow is another day so will try to figure it out some more after Church tomorrow.  Have a good one peeps.  :)

Do you know how to tell organic Fruits and vegetables from those that aren't in the store?
It is easy.  Check the produce sticker to see if the five-digit code starts with a 9.

Fantastic Chicken Recipe (so easy your children could even do it)

1 8oz. jar Apricot Jam, 1 8 oz. bottle Wishbone Russian Salad Dressing, 1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Mix all together.  Pour over chicken layered in baking pan.  Bake 90 min. for each 2 chickens used in recipe at 350 degrees.  I suppose you could do this in a crock pot but I haven't tried that yet.

Random Thoughts

Well, the Super Bowl is over the my team the Green Bay Packers won.  It was a close game though and both teams played well in my opinion.  I just favor the Packers over the Steelers.  I am now forging ahead trying to get the new snow we got yesterday and last night out of my mind.  I am so ready for spring and planting flowers.  I don't know how long they will last with the my grandson's doggie living here but will try anyway.  I may have to get a 6ft fence to keep him out of them.  Speaking of doggies I believe either January or February is Spay and Neuter month.  Please everyone get your dogs and cats spayed or neutered.  We have too many homeless that are dying each and every day in our local animal shelters.  We have to be responsible pet owners.  I have three special doggies and one special kitty in my life and they have all been spayed or neutered.  Now I just have to work on my son to get his done.  :)

Sharing a Personal Moment

I just had to share this.  Last night my grandchildren who live with me really surprised me.  They were really busy with what I thought was their homework.  I soon found out they had their homework all done and they were making me personal Valentines for my Memory Box (which all the grandkids gave me for Christmas).  They soon came into my computer room and presented them all to me with such happy smiles on their faces.  It is moments like this that really make me happy I am helping my son to raise these kids.  They really made my day.  I was also proud of another grandson Parker whose game I just just come home from watching.  He had just won his basketball game as well so this was the real icing on the cake.  I know that I am blessed and just wanted to share.
